AGCO and PointsBet Canada reach settlement
Ontario's gaming regulator and PointsBet Canada have settled a regulatory proceeding tied to a February 2026 proposed order, with PointsBet accepting a two-day site suspension and an independent audit.

The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and PointsBet Canada have reached a settlement that concludes a regulatory proceeding arising from the AGCO's February 2026 Notice of Proposed Order. The resolution concerns PointsBet's Ontario gaming site.
Under the settlement, PointsBet has agreed to a two-day suspension of that site. The company also committed to commissioning an independent audit, using an auditor and audit methodology approved by the AGCO, to enhance its control environment, and to addressing any findings.
The remediation will be independently validated, according to the settlement terms. The agreement ends the regulatory proceeding between the provincial regulator and the Ontario-licensed operator, with the audit and validation intended to strengthen its compliance controls. The settlement was announced on 22 October 2026.
