Asia Pioneer Entertainment announces official opening of Bee Macau, the first playing card factory in Macau
Macau’s first casino-grade playing card factory, Bee Macau, has begun full operations through a partnership between Asia Pioneer Entertainment and Belgium’s Cartamundi Group.

Asia Pioneer Entertainment Holdings and Belgium’s Cartamundi Group said their Bee Macau factory has officially begun full operations, making it Macau’s first casino-grade playing card production facility. The project has a budget of HKD 500 million and earlier completed test production. It has already exported to Asian markets.
The facility produces Bee casino-grade playing cards locally and is equipped with automation, artificial intelligence and robotics. It aims to serve Macau’s six major gaming operators and casino operators worldwide. APE CEO Herman Ng said the launch gives the market a local playing-card manufacturing choice and noted Cartamundi’s technology and training role. Cartamundi CEO Stefaan Merckx said bringing advanced manufacturing closer to Macau and Asia-Pacific customers supports speed, quality, security and reliability.
The project follows a strategic cooperation agreement signed by the companies at MIECF on March 27, 2026, witnessed by senior Macau SAR Government and Central People’s Government Liaison Office officials. Alan Ho, president of the Macau Portuguese and Spanish-Speaking Countries Entrepreneurs Association, said the factory could help connect Portuguese- and Spanish-speaking markets. Bee cards were first printed in 1892.
