Erwin van Lambaart to leave position as CEO of Casinos Austria in March 2027
Erwin van Lambaart will leave the CEO role at Casinos Austria when his contract expires in March 2027, with board member Andreas Bierwirth floated as a possible successor.

Erwin van Lambaart will leave his position as chief executive of Casinos Austria in March 2027, when his contract expires, according to Austrian media reports. Supervisory board chairman Robert Zadrazil confirmed the departure in an official statement.
Zadrazil said van Lambaart's decision was announced internally in September, with a succession process launched by the group's two main shareholders, Allwyn and ÖBAG. He added that the responsible bodies would take all necessary steps the following Wednesday. Andreas Bierwirth, already a member of the three-person board, is considered a possible successor.
Bierwirth has served as chief transformation officer since October 2025, having previously held management roles at Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines and Magenta Telekom. He currently chairs the supervisory board of Do&Co and sits on the board of Finnair. Van Lambaart has led Casinos Austria since 2022, joining from his post as CEO of Holland Casino.
