FDJ UNITED’s revenue falls due to a backdrop of unfavourable economic conditions and tax increases

FDJ UNITED reported lower revenue and gross gaming revenue for the first nine months of 2026, citing fewer high jackpots, higher player winnings, weak point-of-sale traffic and €62m in gaming tax increases.

FDJ UNITED recorded gross gaming revenue of €6,264m in the first nine months of 2026, down 2.8 per cent, and revenue of €2,576m, down 5.6 per cent. The French betting group cited fewer high jackpots, particularly for EuroMillions, higher sports-betting winnings in the third quarter, challenging economic conditions affecting point-of-sale traffic in France, and €62m in gaming tax increases.

The French lottery and retail sports-betting unit posted GGR of €4,978m, down 3.5 per cent, and revenue of €1,794m, down 4.8 per cent. Lottery GGR fell 3.5 per cent to €4,365m, while sports-betting GGR fell 3.2 per cent to €613m. The online betting and gaming unit recorded GGR of €1,013m, down 0.8 per cent, and revenue of €619m, down 8.2 per cent; excluding the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, GGR rose 5.7 per cent.

FDJ said action plans in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom should allow performance to recover gradually. For 2026, the group now targets a low-single-digit decline in GGR and a mid-single-digit decline in revenue. Its chief executive said the group remains committed to implementing action and performance plans to regain sustainable growth.
