Pythia Sports appoints Ben Hutton as Head of Trading

Pythia Sports has named Ben Hutton as Head of Trading, bringing in a veteran of two decades in international racing on the bookmaker side.

Pythia Sports has appointed Ben Hutton as Head of Trading. Hutton recently joined the supplier after leaving Entain, where he led its UK-facing international racing product. He started with Gala Coral Group in August 2005 and stayed through its transitions to Ladbrokes Coral, GVC and Entain.

In his new role, Hutton will lead Pythia’s trading operation, with responsibility for trading margins, how the racing product is presented to customers and the tools used by the trading team. At Entain, he worked with racing suppliers and rights holders including Pythia Sports, ARC, RMG, SIS, PMU and 1/ST CONTENT. He has also recently developed AI-based trading tools and models.

Adrien Tillier, managing director and CTO at Pythia Sports, said Hutton’s bookmaker-side experience would help Pythia develop services around operator needs, including pricing, risk management and product improvement. Hutton said he was looking forward to merging his bookmaker experience with the supplier side and to working on AI and racing.
