SkillOnNet secures Finnish iGaming licence ahead of 2027 market opening
SkillOnNet has obtained a Finnish gambling licence from the National Police Board, allowing it to prepare for the country's regulated online casino market scheduled to open on 1 July 2027.

SkillOnNet has secured a Finnish gambling licence, the company said, positioning it to enter the country's regulated online casino market when it opens on 1 July 2027. The licence was granted by Finland's National Police Board.
The licence supports the group's expansion in regulated markets and the Nordic region, according to SkillOnNet, whose brands include PlayOJO. Finland is moving away from Veikkaus's long-standing monopoly toward a competitive licensing system for online casino gaming and sports betting, with approved private operators subject to strict requirements.
The National Police Board had received 75 applications by late September 2026. Maor Nutkevitch, SkillOnNet's head of corporate development, described Finland as a significant opportunity and said the company was pleased to be among early approved operators, citing plans to bring its products and player-focused approach when the market opens.
