Stake confirms ambition to enter newly regulated New Zealand market
Stake has confirmed its intention to enter New Zealand's newly regulated online casino market after progressing through the country's licence auction process, though no licences have been granted and the market is expected to launch from 2027.

Stake has confirmed it intends to enter New Zealand's newly regulated online casino market, saying the country fits its strategy of expanding into jurisdictions with long-term potential.
The operator, launched in 2017, is among a small group of companies that have advanced through New Zealand's licence auction process, which allows them to apply for a licence under the new framework. No licences have been granted yet, and the market is expected to launch from 2027, pending completion of licensing and regulatory approvals.
A Stake spokesperson said the company was excited about the opportunity as the market moves towards regulation, describing it as another step in its global growth. Stake has expanded into Alberta, Argentina and Mexico during 2026, and expects further market entries during the year.
