Ho-Chunk Gaming Beloit has opened the first phase of its $705m, 240,000-square-foot casino destination, unveiling 1,300 slot machines and 33 table games. The property is part of an entertainment complex whose next phase is scheduled to add a 312-room hotel and a 2,000-seat conference centre next autumn.
The second phase is expected to expand the workforce from 600 employees to 1,500. The project is described by the operator as an investment in the Beloit community and the Ho-Chunk Nation’s future, with attention to employment, economic development and long-term financial stability.
Bernice Twinn, chief financial officer of Ho-Chunk Gaming Beloit, said the opening reflects an important community investment. Steve Abangan, executive manager, said the milestone reflects the vision and teamwork behind the project and is intended to support the region’s continued growth.
