St8’s MCP usage data increases by 91 per cent as operators put Agentic AI to work

St8 reported a 91 per cent rise in weekly usage of its Model Context Protocol back-office AI assistant, with 10,358 queries handled in the first three months after its July launch.

St8 said its MCP integration, launched in July, logged 10,358 AI-handled queries and actions between the week of 19 July and 11 October 2026. Weekly volume rose from 490 queries in the first week to 935 in the week commencing 11 October, a 91 per cent increase. For the same focus group, queries increased 128 per cent from 426 in the week of 16 August to 972 in the week of 4 October.

Usage followed business-hours patterns, falling on Saturdays and Sundays and rebounding on Mondays, St8 said. The company reported 1,907 queries in the past two weeks and a one-week spike of 2,679 in August without service disruption. It also said activity rose by more than 50 per cent after it showcased the assistant at SBC Summit Lisbon in September.

CEO Vlad Negine said the data offered encouraging signs that the MCP integration was making operations more efficient, and that St8 was confident it could build on the early engagement. The figures cover a focus group and offer a snapshot of how operator teams use AI to access reports, check configurations and flag issues.
